Chavez Jr vs LeHoullier Odds
Middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (39-0-1, 29 KO’s) will be fighting the tough Jason LeHoullier (21-1-1, 8 KO’s) in a 10-round bout on September 12th, at the El Palenque de la Feria, in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. This will be a slight step up for Chavez Jr., 23, from the B level fighters that he’s been fighting as of late.
The match was originally scheduled to take place on the Latin Fury X card on July 25 in the same city. Chavez Jr postponed the bout due to a rib injury.
Also on the September 12 card, WBO Minimumweight champ Donnie Neites will be defending his title against Manuel Vargas.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (39-0-1), is the biggest name the 31-year-old LeHoullier (21-1-1) has ever faced. When you are the son of one of boxing's all-time greats — Chavez Jr.'s father is Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., he who won six world titles in three weight divisions, there's automatic name recognition. Chavez Sr. is one of Mexico's most beloved sports heroes, as well, so one gets the feeling LeHoullier isn't facing one man, but rather an entire nation. But, LeHoullier says he isn't fazed by Chavez's name or his 39-0-1 record.
