The highly anticipated super mega matchup between the top welterweight champion Miguel Cotto and the No. 1 pound-for-pound champion in the world.

Manny Pacquiao has chosen to battle Miguel Cotto on November 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Two of boxings most entertaining, hard hitting fighters will meet each other at the catch weight of 145 pounds. With the percentages of revenue not disclosed, the winner of this fight could be on their way to battle Floyd Mayweather, assuming Floyd can get past Marquez on Sept. 19.

The Pacquiao vs. Cotto fight is another exciting match to bet on. These two fighters are by far the most exciting big names in the sport of boxing.

Pacman is known for his tremendous speed and punches in blinding combinations without tiring. Pacquiao is a chaser and When he smells blood you will be his prey.

Pacman doesn’t have great boxing skills, but his southpaw stance complements his style. Manny's opponents are always aware that they might get hit on the process of countering his punches. He has a fast and powerful left straight that would often catch an orthodox fighter stunned or worst getting knockout.

Cotto (34-1, 27 KOs), a titleholder at 147 pounds, had agreed to drop below the welterweight limit for the fight. Pacquiao, the 140-pound junior welterweight champion, wanted him to come all the way down to 143 pounds. Cotto refused. Ultimately, they agreed on a 145-pound maximum weight. Cotto hasn't fought below the welterweight limit since June 2006. Miguel Cotto, has a monster left hook that he could repeatedly destroy his opponents with shots to the body or head nonstop like it was a video game.

Pacquiao and Cotto, two of boxing's most popular and crowd-pleasing fighters, will meet at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Nov. 14 (HBO PPV)

Pacquiao vs Cotto Fight Results

Manny Pacquiao made history Saturday night. And in the process, he made a bloody mess of Miguel Cotto's face.

Pacquiao attacked Cotto with a ferocious barrage from the start, but really stepped up the pace in the second half of the fight. He finally had done so much damage that Cotto's corner wanted the fight stopped after the 11th round, but Cotto refused.

Referee Kenny Bayless finally stopped the fight 55 seconds into the 12th round, giving Pacquiao a technical knockout and Cotto's WBO welterweight belt before a raucous, sold-out crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

It was Pacquiao's record seventh world title in his seventh different weight class. Nobody had ever won more than six. He also has held lineal titles in four weight classes and could stake a claim to the welterweight title with a win over Cotto, who has beaten Shane Mosley.
